Fridge magnets that don’t get binned

Keep it simple: your logo, your number and something useful. Make it easy for a customer to find you next time.

A simple layout is enough

Give the important details room to stand out. A service reminder works for businesses that return regularly; a clear contact card may be enough for other trades.

  1. Who you areYour logo, business name and the work you do.
  2. How to reach youA phone number that is easy to find.
  3. A reason to keep itOne useful detail, like the next service date.
Example layout: a service reminder magnet. Use your business logo, colours and contact details.

Offer it when the job is done

A simple “Would you like a magnet with our number?” is enough. Let the customer choose whether and where to put it.

If the next visit is agreed, write the date in the space provided. Keep the service details in your customer record too, so the magnet supports your repeat-job reminders.

Using magnets in letterbox drops

A magnet can go with a simple flyer to introduce your business to nearby households. Start with a small area you already service.

  • Keep the magnet useful. Use your logo, services and phone number. Save the next-service date field for existing customers and put any short-term offer on the flyer.
  • Give the flyer one job. Say what you do, which suburbs you cover and how to request a quote.
  • Track each drop. Record the area, date and quantity delivered. Use a dedicated web link or QR code on the flyer, and ask callers where they found you.

Respect “No junk mail” signs. Before printing, check that your distributor accepts magnets and how they need to be packed.

Start small and see what comes back

Try a small batch before ordering more. Record the design, printing and delivery costs, along with how many you hand out.

When a customer calls again, ask how they found your number and note the answer in your CRM. Track which enquiries become booked work. QR scans can help you understand usage, but a scan alone doesn’t tell you whether a job was won.

Keep the next step easy

Use the same business name and contact details across your magnet, website and invoices. Once someone gets in touch, make sure the enquiry reaches the right person and gets followed up.
